As many of you know, my mission with VitaLithMD is about more than just creating a high-quality supplement. It’s about restoring access to a safe, natural, and often overlooked nutrient: lithium in its nutritional form.
Unfortunately, in many countries — including Canada, the United Kingdom, and across the European Union — nutritional lithium is regulated in the same category as high-dose prescription lithium carbonate, the medication used in psychiatry. This is a misunderstanding with serious consequences.

The Difference That Matters
Pharmaceutical lithium carbonate is prescribed at high doses, requiring close medical monitoring because of potential side effects. Nutritional lithium, on the other hand, is present naturally in our drinking water, soil, and food at trace levels. At these tiny doses, it functions like a trace mineral, supporting:
• Better mood stability
• Lower suicide and violence rates in communities with higher natural exposure
• Neuroprotection against Alzheimer’s disease
• Improved longevity and resilience
Why This Matters Now
Countries like Canada continue to face rising mental health challenges, Alzheimer’s cases, and preventable deaths by suicide. A small shift in public health policy — allowing access to nutritional lithium — could offer a low-cost, population-wide preventive solution.
But regulatory change doesn’t happen on its own. It takes public voices — yours and mine — reaching out directly to health authorities and policymakers.
How You Can Help
I’ve already drafted letters to officials in Canada, the UK, and the EU, urging them to reconsider the regulatory stance on nutritional lithium and to establish a pathway that allows safe access.
If you’d like to make your voice heard, you don’t need to start from scratch. I will happily share these letters with you, ready to personalize and send. Together, if enough of us speak up, we can make a real difference.
👉 To get a copy of the letters, simply contact me at CONTACT@VITALITHMD.COM and I’ll send them directly to you.
